Pastport is a library of animated history movies for families. We collect as little as we can and never sell what we collect.
What we collect
- Your email and password, when you create an account. We keep the password only in scrambled (hashed) form, so nobody can read it back, us included.
- Your plan: monthly or yearly, whether it is active, and when it renews.
- Payment details, handled by our payment provider, Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
- Which movies your account opens, and when. We count plays to know which stories families watch; we do not track how much of a movie you watch or anything you do elsewhere.
Why we use it
To give you access to your movies, send receipts, and answer you when you write to us. When you sign up we email you a code to confirm the address is yours, and we email password-reset links when you ask for one. These come from noreply@goodcinema.org on our own mail server; no other company handles them. We send no marketing email unless you ask for it.
Cookies and storage
One cookie keeps you signed in. It holds only a random session number, and no script on the page can read it. Your browser also remembers your email, so the sign-in form is filled in next time. We do not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, and load no tracking scripts.
Children
Accounts are for parents and teachers. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Deleting your data
Write to support@goodcinema.org from the email on your account and we delete it within 30 days.
